My Sweet One-Month Old

I can’t believe it, but Eli is one month old today.  I’m going to go ahead and use the old saying “they sure do grow up fast.”  I really think Jeremy and I have been lucky.  I know a lot of parents have a rough first couple of months, but I feel like Eli has been really easy.  We had one bad week when he wasn’t getting enough food, but that’s been it.  

He is so easy going.  He cries only when he has a reason, and he is content “just being.”  He is in love with TV.  We put on Baby Einstein DVD’s, and he will just coo and talk to the moving objects!  I guess he’ll be a DVD addict like his parents.  

He also loves pooping on his mommy.  It’s become a new game to see how many times he can squirt me with poo as soon as I take his diaper off.  Let’s just say I’m doing a LOT of laundry.  Good thing I have that awesome new washer and dryer!

I know I'm biased, but I think we made ourselves a handsome little human.  He's really plumping up too!  I can't just sling him around like I used to!  (I'm kidding, of course)  If I had to guess, I think he'll have his mommy's blue eyes.  I may be wrong and see Jeremy's brown eyes emerge, but I'm sticking to blue for now!

Well, we are officially completely out of the apartment!  It is so nice being in this big house.  We have room to move and breathe out here!  Slowly but surely the house is coming together, and things are being put where they go.  It drives me crazy not being able to have this done yet.  I’m used to having a new house completely in order after a week!  Having a c-section and a newborn will slow you down though!  Now that most everything is put away, my mom is going to start painting soon.  I’ll get to have color on the walls again!  Once we get it all done, I promise I’ll post some photos.

Please keep us in your prayers.  Jeremy leaves a week from tomorrow to go on tour for four weeks.  This will be a difficult time for both of us.  I can’t imagine how hard it will be for Jer to leave his sweet boy for a month.  Luckily, my mom will be here to help me with Eli, so I won’t be alone for that long.  Jeremy will literally be going around the world, so please pray for his safety and that time will pass by quickly.

I’m sorry we basically fell off the face of the earth.  We didn’t have internet for over a week, and we just got it back a couple of days ago.  This also took away our phone for those of you expecting calls from us!  :o)  We will try to be better about keeping everyone updated on the Wilson household from now on!
